📋 Description
- • Senior Software Engineer role focused on building scalable, high-quality full-stack applications using Node.js and React/Next.js to support Bjak’s mission of expanding access to affordable financial services across ASEAN.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing backend systems with Node.js (NestJS, ExpressJS, GraphQL), frontend applications with React.js/Next.js, ensuring production stability, optimizing existing code, supporting cross-functional teams, mentoring junior developers, and reviewing pull requests to maintain code quality.
- • Bjak is Malaysia-headquartered and operates the largest insurance portal in Southeast Asia, leveraging technology like custom APIs, trading systems, and data science to democratize financial services; the company is expanding and seeks mission-driven engineers to help shape its next chapter.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in modern full-stack development, gain leadership experience through mentoring, contribute to impactful financial inclusion initiatives, and grow within a fast-paced, innovative, and globally distributed engineering team.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with strong foundation in algorithms and data structures
- • Over 3 years of full-time experience in software engineering
- • Proficiency in backend development technologies including NodeJS, NestJS, ExpressJS, GraphQL, and Postman
- • Proficiency in frontend development technologies including ReactJS, NextJS, and Styled-components
- • Experience with database management systems such as MongoDB and MySQL
- • Familiarity with automation workflows using tools like Selenium, Cypress, and Puppeteer
- • Demonstrated passion for independent programming and problem-solving
