- • Develop and implement new applications and services, as well as enhancements to existing systems, within an Agile development environment to support federal government client missions.
- • Translate technical requirements and architectural specifications into functional software solutions using Microsoft development tools including C#, .NET, ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, SSIS, SSRS, SQL Server, and Team Foundation Server.
- • Design detailed technical specifications and conduct feasibility analyses to improve application performance, mitigate risks, and ensure alignment with business processes and system requirements.
- • Perform comprehensive testing to validate functionality, scalability, and efficiency of developed code, and lead peer code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
- • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to understand complex business needs and translate them into actionable technical requirements for development.
- • Proactively identify and resolve potential development and implementation issues throughout the software lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery in a deadline-driven environment.
- • Communicate technical concepts and project status effectively to both technical teams and non-technical, executive-level government officials.
- • Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain commitment to cross-functional alignment, continuous improvement, and iterative delivery practices.
- • Document technical designs, system architecture, and feature specifications to support maintainability and knowledge sharing across the development team.
- • Adapt quickly to evolving project priorities and shifting business requirements while maintaining focus on delivering high-quality, secure, and reliable software solutions.
- • Work on-site three days per week at the CFTC DC Headquarters location or Chicago Regional Office, with the remaining days potentially eligible for telework based on project requirements.
- • Support Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities for existing federal systems, ensuring ongoing stability, performance, and compliance with government standards.
- • Engage in continuous learning and professional development through Dev University, DevLab, mentorship programs, and tuition reimbursement opportunities.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3 years of .NET technical field experience combined with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree
- • 3 years of experience as a developer using Microsoft development tools including C#, .NET, ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, SSIS, SSRS, SQL Server, and/or Team Foundation Server
- • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile delivery environment
- • US Citizenship required; must hold or be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
- • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
- • Ability to work on-site three days per week in either Washington, DC or Chicago
