- • The Coordinator, Legislative Affairs and Global Advocacy plays a pivotal role in supporting and advancing Planned Parenthood's critical mission at both national and international levels. This position is instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the Legislative Affairs and Global Advocacy teams, ensuring seamless execution of strategies aimed at protecting and expanding access to sexual and reproductive health care and rights.
- • This role involves comprehensive support for legislative initiatives, including tracking bills, monitoring congressional activity, and assisting in the development of policy briefs and advocacy materials. The Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining databases, organizing meetings, and facilitating communication between internal stakeholders and external partners, including policymakers, coalition members, and affiliate staff.
- • A key responsibility will be to assist in the coordination of advocacy campaigns, which may include grassroots mobilization efforts, digital advocacy initiatives, and direct lobbying support. This involves researching legislative and policy landscapes, identifying opportunities for engagement, and contributing to the strategic planning of advocacy efforts.
- • The Coordinator will also provide essential support to the Global Advocacy team, contributing to efforts that promote sexual and reproductive health and rights internationally.
