- • As a Full-Stack Engineer at Statista GmbH, you will play a pivotal role in transforming complex data into intuitive, reliable products that empower businesses and individuals worldwide to make fact-based decisions. - • You will own the end-to-end software lifecycle — from initial design and development through testing, deployment, and long-term maintenance — ensuring high-quality, maintainable solutions that align with both user needs and business goals. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive at the intersection of data, product, and technology and who take pride in building systems that are not only functional but elegant and scalable.
- • Day to day, you will write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code in TypeScript and Python, focusing on creating seamless user experiences across the stack.
- • You will build and evolve both customer-facing interfaces and internal tools using modern frontend frameworks, particularly React, ensuring responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.
- • You will develop and maintain robust Python-based backend services, integrating with data pipelines and APIs to deliver reliable, performant functionality.
- • You will actively participate in code reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to technical discussions that improve code quality and system architecture.
- • You will troubleshoot and resolve issues by investigating root causes, not just symptoms, applying a curious and analytical mindset to continuously improve system reliability.
- • You will communicate clearly and effectively in English (both written and spoken), collaborating with an international team across Hamburg, Berlin, London, New York, and Tokyo.

🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional experience building front-end and back-end services with a focus on seamless user experience
- • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks — especially React
- • Proven ability to ship production-ready Python backends
- • Solid understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility
- • Creative problem-solving mindset — you don’t just fix bugs, you ask why they exist and you fix them
- • Genuine curiosity and openness to learning new technologies
- • A true team player with a strong sense of personal ownership
- • Fluency in English (written and spoken); German is a welcome bonus
