  • • As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor-Limited Permit (MHC-LP) at Brave Health PA, you will play a vital role in expanding access to compassionate, high-quality mental health care for underserved populations across New York State, particularly those relying on Medicaid and Medicare, by delivering evidence-based outpatient services through a secure, innovative telehealth platform that breaks down geographic and systemic barriers to care.
  • • Your work will directly support Brave Health’s mission to ensure no one is left behind in receiving mental health treatment, contributing to a community health-centered organization that prioritizes equity, affordability, and life-changing outcomes for individuals across the lifespan.
  • • Day to day, you will conduct individual and group therapy sessions via telehealth for clients presenting with a range of mental health and substance use concerns, utilizing comprehensive assessments to inform personalized treatment plans and regularly reviewing progress toward client goals.
  • • You will maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and payer requirements, ensuring all interactions are securely documented within the organization’s electronic health record system.
  • • You will actively participate in bi-weekly test preparation sessions and utilize the annual education stipend to pursue licensure advancement and professional development, supported by internal supervision provided at no cost to you.
  • • You will collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, including psychiatrists and care coordinators, to ensure holistic treatment approaches and seamless referrals when higher levels of care are needed.
  • • You will demonstrate cultural humility and linguistic responsiveness, particularly when serving Spanish-speaking clients, adapting interventions to meet diverse linguistic, cultural, and socioeconomic needs.
  • • You will uphold strict privacy and security protocols in your home workspace, ensuring a confidential, distraction-free environment conducive to therapeutic engagement and HIPAA compliance.
  • • You will engage in ongoing skill-building in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing, applying these techniques flexibly to meet clients where they are in their healing journey.
  • • You will contribute to a culture of continuous learning and team support by sharing insights during case consultations and peer discussions, fostering a collaborative environment focused on clinical excellence and client empowerment.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Master's level degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related mental health field
  • • Current Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) credential in the State of New York
  • • Eligibility to work in the United States with valid work authorization
  • • A private, secure home workspace that ensures patient confidentiality and meets HIPAA standards for telehealth delivery
  • • Fluency in English; Spanish language proficiency is strongly preferred, with additional language skills considered a valuable asset

  • • W2 full-time employment with a competitive annual salary range of $65,000–$68,000, plus additional compensation for bilingual (Spanish) candidates
  • • 100% remote work schedule with flexible shift options (10am–7pm or 11am–8pm EST), Monday through Friday, no weekends required
