- • This Quality Assurance Manager role at The Jackson Laboratory is critical for harmonizing quality practices across domestic and international locations, driving organizational change, and implementing quality improvements to support the mission of advancing human health through genomic research.
- • Day to day, the person will develop long-term process improvement strategies, analyze quality data to identify trends and risks, lead continuous quality improvement initiatives, oversee internal and external audits, manage CAPA processes, ensure document control and change management, coach and lead the quality team, and maintain expertise through professional development.
- • The Jackson Laboratory is an independent, nonprofit biomedical research institution with a National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Center and nearly 3,000 employees across the U.S., Japan, and China, dedicated to discovering genomic solutions for disease and empowering the global biomedical community.
- • In this role, the person can learn and achieve strategic leadership in global quality systems, gain expertise in regulatory compliance and international standards like ISO 9001, drive cultural change in quality across a complex multi-site organization, and build influence as a champion of Lean and continuous improvement in a mission-driven scientific environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of quality-related experience
- • At least 2 years of supervisory or functional management/leadership experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology operations
- • Expertise in CAPA processes, root cause analysis, quality metrics, audit execution, and supplier quality management
- • Experience with ISO 9001 standards and change management in multi-site, complex environments
- • Lean/Six Sigma Certification preferred; Quality certifications (CQA, CQM/OE, etc.) a plus
- • Advanced interpersonal, verbal, and written skills to engage senior leaders and diverse global stakeholders
