Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own and expand the Western US territory for BW Flexible Systems’ Vertical Form Fill Seal portfolio, driving new machinery orders, turnkey packaging lines, and aftermarket solutions that exceed annual quotas and fuel double-digit growth.
- • Build and execute a data-driven, 3-year strategic plan for California, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado—identifying whitespace opportunities, prioritizing high-value CPG accounts, and aligning resources across engineering, service, and finance to win complex capital-equipment deals.
- • Cultivate trusted-advisor relationships with plant managers, engineering directors, and procurement leaders at Fortune 500 food, beverage, and consumer-goods companies; translate their production pain points into tailored proposals that demonstrate measurable ROI, throughput gains, and total cost of ownership advantages.
- • Orchestrate end-to-end sales cycles from first call through final commissioning: qualify opportunities via CRM, coordinate virtual and on-site demonstrations, lead technical reviews with application engineers, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure seamless hand-off to project management and field service teams.
- • Mine market intelligence—competitive pricing, emerging packaging trends, regulatory shifts, and M&A activity—and feed insights to product management and executive leadership to shape next-generation machinery roadmaps and pricing strategies.
- • Leverage Barry-Wehmiller’s global platform—spare-parts programs, training academies, digital service tools, and cross-brand integration capabilities—to craft holistic solutions that lock in long-term customer loyalty and expand share-of-wallet.
- • Collaborate with channel partners, distributors, and agents across the territory; design joint business plans, co-host customer events, and provide technical enablement to multiply reach and accelerate deal velocity.
- • Maintain pristine CRM hygiene—logging every touchpoint, forecasting quarterly revenue within 5 % accuracy, and producing executive-level dashboards that spotlight pipeline health, win/loss drivers, and competitive threats.
- • Champion the “Truly Human Leadership” culture—mentor junior reps, share best practices across the BW Packaging family, and embody servant leadership that elevates both customer outcomes and teammate fulfillment.
- • Travel up to 60 % across the Western US (and occasionally internationally) to stand on production floors, lead line trials, and deliver high-impact presentations that turn prospects into lifelong partners.
