  • • As a Senior Event Specialist at The Jackson Laboratory, you will drive the success of the organization’s events program by partnering with product managers, sales teams, and thought leaders to develop and execute strategic, goal-oriented events that align with business objectives and enhance brand visibility in competitive environments.
  • • You will manage and execute the global trade show program while overseeing the production of company-led events such as workshops, conferences, and roadshows, ensuring all events are impactful, well-executed, and customer-focused through proactive problem-solving and exceptional project management.
  • • Day to day, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to define event objectives, target audiences, and success metrics, taking initiative to identify opportunities that improve customer experiences and strengthen brand presence at events through creativity and innovation.
  • • You will manage all aspects of the global event program, including event selection, booth design, logistics, vendor management, and post-event analysis, while leading cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution, effective resource allocation, and clear communication across organizational levels.
  • • You will conduct post-event debriefs, generate detailed reports measuring success, gather insights, and recommend data-driven strategies for future improvements, while managing trade show and event budgets to ensure cost-effective execution without compromising quality or impact.
  • • During events, you will ensure effective lead capture, coach event teams on proper data entry and booth etiquette, supervise follow-up activities, and maintain adherence to budgetary constraints through expense tracking and vendor negotiations.

  • • In this role, you will develop advanced expertise in strategic event planning within a mission-driven scientific organization, gaining hands-on experience managing complex, global event portfolios while refining your skills in budget oversight, vendor negotiation, data analysis, and cross-functional leadership.

🎯 Requirements

  • • BA degree in Communication, Marketing, Business, or a science-related field is required, along with 2+ years of direct experience overseeing campaign and event management; field sales experience is preferred.
  • • 5+ years of experience developing exhibit schedules, conducting market analysis for events and campaigns, and developing event budgets, with strong preference for experience planning large conferences within a life sciences or biomedical organization.
  • • Demonstrated exceptional organizational, time, and budget management skills are required, along with proven complex project management abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with CRM (especially Salesforce) and marketing automation tools like Marketo.
