Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Technical Product Manager at Metriport, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare data interoperability by translating complex technical and clinical requirements into actionable product strategies that directly impact patient care delivery and operational efficiency for healthcare organizations nationwide.
  • • You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for core platform features, ensuring solutions are not only technically sound and scalable but also deeply aligned with customer needs, regulatory standards, and business objectives in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.
  • • Day to day, you will collaborate closely with founders, engineers, designers, and sales teams to define product specifications, prioritize features based on user feedback and market data, and drive execution from concept through launch and iteration.
  • • You will conduct technical deep dives into API design, FHIR/HL7 standards, data modeling, and integration workflows to effectively bridge the gap between engineering capabilities and customer use cases, enabling seamless data exchange across disparate healthcare IT systems.
  • • You will develop domain expertise in healthcare interoperability, becoming a trusted advisor on standards like US Core, CARIN, and TEFCA, while continuously monitoring industry trends and competitive landscapes to inform strategic product decisions.
  • • You will partner with customers — including innovative health systems and digital health companies — to gather requirements, validate assumptions, and co-create solutions that solve real-world problems in care coordination, claims processing, and population health management.
  • • You will measure and communicate product impact using quantitative metrics such as adoption rates, API latency, data completeness, and customer satisfaction, using data-driven narratives to influence stakeholders and executives.
  • • You will operate with high autonomy and ownership in a low-bureaucracy, engineering-driven culture where your ability to learn quickly, think critically, and execute decisively is valued more than tenure or title.
  • • You will contribute to a mission-driven team that values intellectual curiosity, sustainable intensity, and relentless focus on outcomes — where your work directly enables better access to patient data for millions of Americans.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 4+ years of experience in product management, product design, engineering, data analysis, data science, or user research within software product environments.
  • • Demonstrated ability to learn and operate across multiple functional areas including engineering, design, finance, sales, and marketing to drive cross-functional alignment.
  • • Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to navigate ambiguous, high-constraint environments using data-informed judgment and structured written communication.
  • • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with engineering, design, sales, and executive teams to build consensus and deliver results.
  • • Comfort thriving in fast-paced, startup-like settings with minimal process, where you can drive projects forward without relying on established playbooks.
  • • Willingness to be based in San Francisco or relocate to work from the office six days a week, aligning with the team’s sustainable intensity model.
  • • Exhibits the 'Metriport Mindset': low ego, high ownership, and a bias toward action — consistently asking how to accelerate outcomes rather than accept timelines at face value.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive equity and compensation package designed to reward ownership and long-term impact.
  • • Full family Platinum-tier health insurance, including dental and vision coverage, ensuring comprehensive care for you and your dependents.
  • • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching to support your long-term financial security.
  • • Flexible work arrangements allowing choice between remote and in-office work, with complimentary healthy meals provided when working onsite.
  • • Quarterly company off-sites to strengthen team cohesion and recharge in inspiring environments.
  • • Provided MacBook and necessary tools to perform your role effectively from day one.
