📋 Description

• • Configures, modifies, tests, and maintains Epic and other clinical applications under moderate direction to ensure system reliability and performance.
• • Designs, verifies, documents, amends, and refactors complex software configurations for deployment, applying agreed standards and tools to achieve well-engineered outcomes.
• • Participates in and leads reviews of own work and colleagues’ work to ensure quality and consistency in application configurations.
• • Investigates and resolves application issues using agreed procedures, application management tools, and performance statistics collection methods.
• • Carries out routine and scheduled applications maintenance tasks to uphold system integrity and operational continuity.
• • Develops and executes comprehensive test plans and test cases in collaboration with product, systems, and service teams to ensure full coverage of functionality.
• • Analyzes and reports on test activities, results, issues, and risks, including the work of others, to inform decision-making and improvements.
• • Evaluates design options and prototypes to gather user feedback on system requirements and user experience.
• • Selects appropriate tools and techniques to assess user experiences of clinical systems, products, and services.
• • Prioritizes and diagnoses incidents, investigates root causes, seeks resolutions, and escalates unresolved issues according to established protocols.
• • Documents and closes resolved incidents in alignment with agreed procedures and contributes to improving incident management processes.
• • May be assigned to an after-hours on-call rotation to support system availability outside standard business hours.
• • Builds collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, clinical department users, technology teams, and corporate departments to facilitate system adoption and usage.
• • Provides second-tier support to end users to ensure reliable access and performance of clinical applications.
• • Ensures all incidents are handled in accordance with documented procedures and organizational standards.
• • Contributes to the selection of software configuration methods, tools, and techniques to optimize application deployment and maintenance.
• • Maintains accurate IT documentation for configurations, changes, and resolutions to support audit readiness and knowledge transfer.
• • Works in a normal office environment with typical desk-based tasks involving repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movements.
• • Requires Epic certification to be obtained within six months of hire.
