📋 Description

• • The Automation Design Engineer role at Vantage Data Centers is critical to ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of mission-critical data center infrastructure through the design and implementation of advanced automation and control systems.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing mechanical and electrical drawings, sequences of operation, and P&IDs to develop PLC logic and HMI/SCADA applications; creating and maintaining AutoCAD-based electrical schematics and panel layouts; supporting system commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting; collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, and Construction; and implementing standardized automation components and technical documentation.
• • The Automation Systems Group partners with Operations, Sales, Engineering, IT, and Management to deliver cutting-edge control infrastructure that meets customer requirements across Vantage’s global data center footprint, working closely with contractors to ensure successful design and execution.
• • This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in industrial automation, gain hands-on experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC programming and Ignition SCADA, contribute to mission-critical systems in hyperscale data centers, and grow into a trusted technical leader within a collaborative, innovation-driven engineering team.
