- • Design, build, and test production-grade Python APIs for media products that support AI-driven content personalization, audience analytics, and creative optimization.
- • Architect and maintain distributed systems that orchestrate data pipelines, background jobs, and long-running processes interacting with AI models.
- • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to design scalable systems with clear implementation plans that align with product goals.
- • Develop robust systems for long-running processes including database management, caching strategies, retry logic, and fallback behavior to ensure system reliability.
- • Ensure errors are properly routed and logged for efficient triaging and resolution across enterprise systems.
- • Design and maintain high-quality automated test suites and manual stress/quality testing frameworks specifically for AI-powered systems.
- • Implement and enforce data governance and cybersecurity practices to ensure fairness, transparency, and regulatory compliance in all AI systems.
- • Leverage workflow orchestration tools such as Prefect, Airflow, or Dagster to manage complex data and AI pipelines.
- • Utilize data persistence technologies including Redis, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, and MongoDB to store, retrieve, and manage application data efficiently.
- • Monitor and optimize enterprise systems using industry-standard tools to ensure performance, availability, and scalability.
- • Architect maintainable and extendable systems that balance current requirements with future scalability needs, avoiding over-engineering while preparing for growth.
- • Apply familiarity with large language models (LLMs) including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Cohere APIs, addressing performance bottlenecks and mitigation strategies.
- • Use version control systems proficiently to manage codebases and collaborate across distributed engineering teams.
- • Implement containerization, DevOps tools, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment, testing, and monitoring of backend services.
- • Work within a remote-first environment with mandatory in-office presence three days per week for employees within commutable distance of designated hubs (Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, New York City); Los Angeles-based employees are required two days per week.
- • Adhere to company policies requiring flexibility in work location and schedule to meet business and client needs, including occasional in-office attendance regardless of remote designation.
- • Operate within a salary range of $136,000 - $190,075 annually, with placement determined by experience, skills, and other legally permissible factors.
