📋 Description

• As a BI Data Engineer at the bank, you will build, maintain, and improve the enterprise data warehouse and BI environment to drive business decisions.
• Day to day, you’ll design ETL/ELT pipelines, optimize data models, and collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to deliver reliable reporting and dashboards.
• The bank is a 135‑year‑old, Great Place to Work‑certified institution with $16B+ in assets and 135 branches across WA, OR, ID, and CA.
• In this role, you can influence data quality, enable analytics at scale, and support community‑focused financial services.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 years building ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with dimensional modeling and data validation.
• Hands‑on experience with ETL tools or orchestration (e.g., Airflow), and cloud or on‑prem data platforms.
• Proficiency in a scripting language (Python, SQL-based procedures) for data processing and automation.
• Experience building BI reports and dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Familiarity with data governance, quality practices, and performance tuning.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
