- • As a Business Analytics Advisor in Cigna’s Population Health Client Informatics team, you will play a pivotal role in transforming complex healthcare data into strategic insights that empower employer clients to make informed decisions about their health benefits and population health strategies. Your work directly supports Cigna’s enterprise growth goals by demonstrating measurable value through data-driven storytelling and actionable recommendations.
- • Day to day, you will perform detailed analysis of healthcare cost, trend, and utilization data to identify emerging risks and opportunities; conduct high-impact ad hoc analyses across multiple data domains to synthesize large datasets into clear, executive-ready insights; translate analytical findings into compelling recommendations that inform client decision-making and strengthen client relationships; lead analytics-driven discussions with client stakeholders, presenting results in a persuasive, consultative manner; educate account teams on medical cost drivers to enhance their ability to manage client needs; and continuously identify opportunities to improve analytics tools, processes, and best practices while fostering a culture of knowledge sharing across teams.
- • You will join a specialized team within Cigna’s Enterprise Risk Management organization dedicated to leveraging analytics to demonstrate Cigna’s value proposition and improve population health outcomes for clients. The team operates at the intersection of data science, healthcare consulting, and client strategy, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to deliver innovative, insight-led solutions that drive profitable growth and long-term client engagement.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in healthcare analytics, population health informatics, and strategic client consulting; develop advanced storytelling and presentation skills to influence senior stakeholders; gain exposure to cutting-edge analytics tools and methodologies; and position yourself as a trusted advisor who directly impacts client outcomes and Cigna’s market leadership in value-based care.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in healthcare, business, or government roles with a strong focus on analytics or consulting
- • 3+ years of experience using analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, or similar technologies
- • Proven experience creating and presenting analytically driven materials to clients or senior stakeholders
- • Strong ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights
- • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- • Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence cross-functional teams
