  • • Serve as the primary Velera relationship manager for credit unions with revenues exceeding the minimum threshold set by the Account Management SVP.
  • • Conduct proactive onsite visits to meet with senior executives at assigned credit unions to identify strategic opportunities, extend partnerships, and enhance portfolio performance.
  • • Deliver comprehensive Strategic Business Reviews to clients, demonstrating the value of Velera’s products and solutions through industry expertise in payments and ecommerce.
  • • Align credit union business goals with Velera’s product offerings to maximize the company’s value proposition and drive client success.
  • • Develop, maintain, and execute customized account plans to increase sales volume and market share within assigned credit union portfolios.
  • • Prepare, negotiate, and manage contracts, proposals, pricing comparisons, proformas, and program analyses for new and renewal agreements.
  • • Manage revenue for the full book of assigned credit union business and identify opportunities to cross-sell additional Velera products and services.
  • • Act as the primary point of contact for strategic initiatives and escalated issue resolution, ensuring high client satisfaction scores as measured by periodic surveys.
  • • Maintain open communication with VP and SVP of Account Management, reporting on at-risk contract renewals and presenting retention action plans.
  • • Monitor market intelligence and industry trends impacting Velera’s product offerings or sales strategy, and report significant changes to internal leadership.
  • • Collaborate with Velera’s product team to provide input on new product development for credit union and consumer opportunities.
  • • Coordinate interdepartmental communications to ensure seamless delivery of existing and new products and services to clients.
  • • Serve as liaison for product implementations, program start-ups, and major client projects alongside assigned Service Executives.
  • • Maintain accurate, up-to-date account plans and client data in Salesforce and Velera’s client database, ensuring all opportunities and interactions are properly recorded.
  • • Continuously evaluate the client landscape to recommend and implement innovative approaches for growing Velera’s business.
  • • Stay current on payment industry trends, innovations, and competitor activity, including knowledge of Visa, MasterCard, First Data, and PSCU products.
  • • Participate in regional meetings to promote Velera’s products and services.
  • • Interact professionally and positively with Velera staff, clients, and business constituents at all levels.
  • • Perform other duties as assigned to support Velera’s mission and client success.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in marketing, business development, consulting, sales, or relationship management
  • • Minimum seven (7) years of B2B/B2BC experience
  • • Financial services or consulting experience preferred
  • • Proven ability to manage enterprise-level client relationships and negotiate complex contracts
  • • Strong understanding of payment, ecommerce, and credit union industries
