📋 Description
- • The Clinical Data Management Lead serves as the primary point of contact for customers on data management deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes across global clinical trials.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing multiple large studies or programs, providing leadership to Data Team Leads, driving process improvements, and independently overseeing service delivery with technical expertise.
- • The role involves leading negotiations with clients on timelines, finances, and resources, acting as the escalation point for unresolved data issues, and ensuring proper resource allocation to meet project milestones.
- • As a Subject Matter Expert, the individual will contribute to developing and maintaining standard operating procedures, lead best practice initiatives, and independently manage statements of work and budgets.
- • This position is based in South Africa and supports IQVIA’s mission to advance healthcare innovation through intelligent connections in clinical research and commercial insights.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in health, clinical, biological, mathematical sciences, or a related field
- • Minimum of 7 years direct Data Management experience, including 5+ years as a CDM project lead
- • Proven experience managing delivery of multiple global trials through the full data management life-cycle (e.g., trials of at least 1,000 patients)
- • Expert knowledge of data management processes, including SAE reconciliation, external data vendor handling, and therapeutic area expertise
- • Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and relevant regulatory guidelines
- • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- • Ability to work independently and establish effective relationships with cross-functional teams and clients
