• • Your primary responsibility will be to transition Adyen's Agentic Commerce offering from its current pilot phase to full-scale market adoption.
• • This involves meticulously identifying and engaging with first-mover merchants, strategically structuring the commercial approach to accommodate AI-driven transactions, and establishing a robust feedback loop to inform and refine our product development.
• • You will serve as a trusted advisor to C-level executives at Adyen's most significant enterprise clients, guiding them through the complexities and potential pitfalls of the agentic economy.
• • Your consultative approach will focus on demystifying the hype surrounding AI, assessing and mitigating infrastructure risks related to fraud and identity verification, and architecting optimal data feeds essential for seamless agentic transactions.
• • A critical aspect of your role will be to orchestrate the burgeoning ecosystem of AI platforms and merchants, acting as Adyen's commercial bridge to major AI players like OpenAI and Google.
• • You will ensure Adyen maintains its position as a neutral, indispensable connector within an increasingly fragmented technological landscape.
• • You will be responsible for translating your deep market insights and learnings into a scalable GTM engine, collaborating closely with the marketing team.
• • This collaboration will focus on developing comprehensive training materials and programs to equip Adyen's broader Sales and Account Management teams with the fluency needed to discuss complex topics such as tokens, Large Language Models (LLMs), and agentic protocols.
• • A core tenet of your work will be to champion Adyen's "Merchant-First" principles, ensuring that as agentic commerce protocols evolve, they consistently prioritize merchant control, robust data privacy, and effective liability protection.
• • You will operate within the "Innovation Lab," a dynamic environment at the epicenter of the AI boom, with a specific focus on securing and managing high-velocity pilot programs with leading US-based AI platforms, particularly in key tech hubs like San Francisco, Seattle, and New York.
• • Your efforts will directly contribute to enabling our largest US enterprise merchants across Retail, Mobility, and Platform sectors to launch their pioneering "Instant Checkout" use cases, driving rapid market adoption and capturing early market share.
• • You are expected to be a strategic builder, comfortable navigating ambiguity and co-creating solutions with clients rather than relying on pre-defined materials.
• • Your commercial acumen will be demonstrated through a proven track record of managing complex enterprise relationships and driving strategic initiatives that yield tangible volume and measurable results.
• • Technical fluency is essential; you must be able to articulate complex payment concepts, such as the difference between Network Tokens and Virtual Cards, to financial executives and engage in detailed discussions about API schemas with product managers, showcasing a nuanced understanding of the payments technology stack.
• • While not necessarily an ML engineer, you will possess a strong curiosity about AI infrastructure, staying abreast of evolving agentic systems, frameworks, decision-making processes, and transaction initiation protocols, with familiarity in emerging agent protocols and model provider approaches to commerce being a significant advantage.
• • You will possess an "anti-hype" mindset, adept at cutting through noise to focus on solving real operational challenges like inventory visibility, authentication, and liability, rather than engaging in speculative discussions.
• • Your collaborative spirit will be crucial as you work seamlessly across Commercial, Product, Legal, and Partnerships teams to overcome obstacles and resolve issues in real-time within Adyen's flat organizational structure.
