- • As a Consultant - Middleware at Red Hat, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of enterprise open-source solutions across key ASEAN markets, including enterprise accounts, government agencies, and service provider partners. Your expertise will directly influence digital transformation initiatives by aligning Red Hat’s middleware portfolio with customer business objectives, ensuring scalable, secure, and cloud-native architectures that deliver long-term value.
- • You will lead the end-to-end delivery of middleware-focused projects, from initial assessment and solution design through implementation, validation, and optimization. This includes conducting technical workshops, leading proofs-of-concept (PoCs), defining integration patterns, and guiding application modernization strategies using Red Hat’s JBoss EAP, Fuse, AMQ, 3scale, Quarkus, and OpenShift technologies. You will collaborate closely with customer architects, business stakeholders, sales, product engineering, and customer success teams to translate complex business needs into actionable technical roadmaps.
- • You will be embedded within Red Hat’s global Consulting practice, working as part of a high-performing, geographically distributed team dedicated to enabling customer success through open-source innovation. The team operates with a strong emphasis on collaboration, technical excellence, and mentorship, fostering an environment where consultants are empowered to lead, learn, and grow while upholding Red Hat’s commitment to quality and customer advocacy.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise middleware, cloud-native architectures, and hybrid cloud integration while developing advanced consulting, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. You will have the opportunity to shape strategic technology decisions for major organizations, contribute to thought leadership in open-source middleware, and build a reputation as a trusted advisor in the ASEAN region—positioning yourself for growth into senior consulting, architecture, or technology leadership roles within Red Hat or the broader open-source ecosystem.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat middleware products, including Red Hat JBoss EAP/WildFly, Red Hat Fuse/Camel, Red Hat AMQ/Kafka, API Management (3scale, Apigee, Kong), and Quarkus/MicroProfile for cloud-native application development.
- • Proven expertise in designing and implementing microservices, SOA, event-driven, and integration architectures, with strong practical knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift for deploying, scaling, and observing middleware workloads in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage small to medium-sized projects, and deliver complex enterprise solutions, preferably with domain experience in banking, telecom, public sector, or manufacturing industries.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Opportunity to work remotely from Malaysia while supporting Red Hat’s ASEAN region, enabling flexibility and work-life balance within a globally distributed, inclusive culture.
- • Access to Red Hat’s industry-leading training, certifications, and professional development resources focused on open-source technologies, consulting methodologies, and leadership growth.
- • Engagement with cutting-edge open-source projects and collaboration with Red Hat’s engineering, product, and customer success teams to influence product direction and drive innovation.
- • Competitive compensation package aligned with Red Hat’s commitment to equity, including comprehensive health benefits, retirement plans, and wellness programs supporting physical, mental, and financial well-being.
