- • As the Country Manager for the UK, you will be the pivotal leader responsible for the end-to-end success and strategic direction of Bjak Sdn. Bhd.'s operations within the United Kingdom. This is a deeply hands-on role, demanding direct involvement in setting up and running local operations, cultivating a high-performing team, spearheading revenue generation and strategic partnerships, and meticulously executing our go-to-market strategy. Your mandate extends to ensuring absolute compliance with the stringent requirements of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), a critical aspect of operating within the UK's financial services landscape.
- • You will be empowered to make critical decisions, drive tangible outcomes, and architect scalable systems that support our ambitious growth objectives. This position requires a proactive and results-oriented individual who can operate autonomously while maintaining seamless collaboration with our global headquarters and senior leadership team. Your influence will shape the trajectory of Bjak's presence in the UK, transforming our vision into a market-leading reality.
- • A core responsibility will be to fully own the UK business performance. This encompasses the foundational work of establishing the local office, defining and refining our operating model, and driving the execution of all strategic initiatives. You will be the ultimate custodian of our UK market strategy, ensuring that every action taken aligns with our overarching business goals and contributes to sustainable growth.
- • You will be instrumental in setting, meticulously tracking, and consistently delivering against key business performance indicators (KPIs). This involves establishing clear metrics for operational efficiency, commercial success, and market penetration, ensuring that we maintain a trajectory of consistent progress and achieve our ambitious targets.
- • A significant part of your role will involve building and leading the dedicated UK team. This includes the critical functions of Public Relations, Marketing, and Customer Support. You will be responsible for the entire employee lifecycle, from identifying and attracting top talent through strategic hiring, to fostering a culture of high performance through effective performance management, and providing inspirational day-to-day leadership that motivates and guides the team towards collective success.
- • To ensure optimal team performance and alignment, you will establish clear roles, define ambitious yet achievable targets, and instill a strong sense of accountability across all team members. This structured approach will be fundamental in supporting our rapid growth and ensuring that each individual understands their contribution to the company's overall objectives.
- • You will be a key driver of strategic partnerships and the development of robust distribution channels. Your efforts will be focused on accelerating market penetration, expanding our customer base, and significantly boosting revenue streams through innovative and effective collaborations.
- • As a representative of Bjak Sdn. Bhd., you will be expected to engage externally with a diverse range of stakeholders, including potential and existing partners, regulatory bodies such as the FCA, and other key industry influencers. Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships will be paramount to our success.
- • You will be tasked with designing and executing comprehensive local product, marketing, and go-to-market strategies tailored specifically for the UK market. This includes owning the entire customer acquisition funnel, driving revenue growth, and implementing effective retention strategies to ensure long-term customer loyalty.
- • Close collaboration with our global product, technology, and customer experience teams will be essential. You will work diligently to localize our platform and offerings to meet the specific needs and preferences of the UK market, ensuring strict adherence to FCA regulations and a deep understanding of local customer behaviour and expectations.
- • Finally, you will work in close partnership with the Chairman and the global leadership team. This collaborative relationship will ensure alignment on strategic priorities, facilitate the swift resolution of any cross-regional issues, and enable the effective execution of initiatives across all operational areas, fostering a cohesive and unified global strategy.
