- • As Marqeta’s Credit Risk Senior Analyst, you will lead underwriting strategy to launch successful credit programs and drive innovation in credit strategies and underwriting models.
- • Day to day, you will evaluate and refine credit policies and models for consumer and SMB credit cards, develop data-driven strategies, conduct risk segmentation and loss forecasting, build dashboards for KPIs and KRIs, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations affecting credit card products.
- • You will work closely with internal stakeholders including Banking, Product, Finance, and Data, while building strong relationships with external bank partners and customers.
- • Marqeta is a Flex First company enabling embedded finance, powering card issuing for major brands like Block, Cash App, Affirm, Instacart, DoorDash, Uber, and Walmart, with a mission to change the way money moves and unlock equitable financial access.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in credit risk analytics, gain experience influencing cross-functional strategy, and grow your impact by shaping underwriting practices that minimize losses and enhance profitability for consumer and SMB portfolios.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or another quantitative field.
- • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a financial institution with a focus on credit risk analysis.
- • Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with statistical modeling, including machine learning techniques.
- • Demonstrated ability to solve white space problems and develop innovative solutions.
- • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently on complex projects.
- • Strong communication skills, with experience in presenting and explaining complex data to senior leadership.
