📋 Description

• As a Data Analyst at Safelease Inc., you will unlock the value of data assets by transforming and presenting data to drive actionable business decisions, serving as a key voice in turning data signals into strategic outcomes.
• You will design and maintain dbt models in Snowflake, build executive dashboards, conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover insights, and ensure data quality and governance across the organization.
• Safelease is a profitable, fast-growing P&C insurance innovator that designs, underwrites, and distributes specialty coverage while backing policies with its own capital, serving over 4,000 commercial properties nationwide with a team of 70 growing 100% annually.
• In this role, you will develop end-to-end data expertise, influence real business decisions through analysis, and become the trusted authority on Safelease’s data landscape within your first year.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data analysis, or a hybrid role
• Strong SQL — you write queries from scratch, optimize them, and know when a query is telling you something wrong
• Hands-on experience with dbt (Core or Cloud) — model structure, ref/source, tests, documentation, incremental strategies
• Proficiency with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse
• Experience building dashboards in Metabase, Looker, Mode, Tableau, or similar
• Proven ability to go from a vague business question to a structured analysis to a clear recommendation
