- • As a Data Analyst IV in Healthcare Analytics and Medical Economics at Centene Corporation, you will analyze integrated and extensive datasets to extract value that directly influences business decisions, reduces overall cost of care, and improves clinical outcomes for 28 million members.
- • Day to day, you will interpret and analyze data from multiple sources including healthcare provider, member/patient, and third-party data; lead planning and execution of large-scale projects and new reporting tools; identify and resolve data, process, and technical issues; communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders; mentor junior analysts; and leverage enterprise reporting tools to deliver data-driven insights.
- • You will join a diversified, national organization transforming community health through data-driven decision-making, working collaboratively with key business stakeholders to optimize medical spend while maintaining quality of care.
- • In this role, you can deepen your expertise in healthcare economics, financial modeling, and cost-utilization analysis; develop leadership skills by mentoring junior analysts; and contribute to strategic initiatives that impact member outcomes and organizational efficiency.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, public health, health informatics, healthcare administration, finance or related field or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred
- • 5+ years of experience working with large databases, data verification, and data management or 3+ years IT experience
- • Working knowledge of SQL/querying languages; experience with table creation, indexing, query optimization, and stored procedures
- • Preferred knowledge of programmatic coding languages such as Python and R; familiarity with statistical, analytical, or data mining techniques
- • Preferred knowledge of modern business intelligence and visualization tools; experience in financial modeling, claims pricing, contract/network analysis, or ROI evaluation
- • Familiarity with claims payment, utilization management, provider/vendor contracts, and risk adjustment for government-sponsored healthcare
