📋 Description

• Data and Automation Specialist at Panoptyc, Inc. responsible for providing analytical insights and process efficiency during high-growth phase, overseeing data visibility and internal automation development to eliminate manual work and drive data-backed decisions.
• Day-to-day tasks include writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, building and maintaining BI dashboards, monitoring data quality, prototyping AI-assisted tools, identifying repetitive tasks for automation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining documentation for data pipelines and automated tools.
• Panoptyc is a fully remote, rapidly growing team revolutionizing loss prevention using visual AI and manual reviewers to detect theft in over 15,000 U.S. markets, serving clients from Fortune 500 companies to local businesses.
• The role offers opportunity to build and optimize BI dashboards and AI-assisted workflows, deploy AI tools that save team time within 1-2 months, and work with a dynamic global team reshaping retail security.

🎯 Requirements

• Solid SQL Foundation: Proven mastery of SQL, including deep comfort with complex joins, aggregations, window functions, and query optimization.
• Dashboarding Expertise: Hands-on, practical experience building business-facing reports in at least one major BI tool (e.g., Metabase, Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
• Provable AI Projects: Demonstrated, provable experience building and shipping an actual AI-assisted script, automation, or internal tool.
• Analytical Rigor: Ability to audit data structures, spot funnel anomalies, and maintain high-integrity reporting that stakeholders can trust without double-checking.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote environment
• Availability to work during US business hours
