- • As a Data Annotation Specialist for Portuguese at Cohere Inc., you will play a critical role in improving the performance of Large Language Models by labeling, ranking, auditing, and correcting text-based data in Portuguese, directly contributing to the quality and safety of AI systems used by developers and enterprises worldwide.
- • Day to day, you will label and rank machine learning data with advanced Portuguese proficiency, audit and correct inaccuracies in various data formats (text, image, JSON, TSV/CSV, Markdown), complete reading and text-based tasks with high attention to detail, evaluate preference-based responses in Portuguese, recommend optimizations for data quality, provide feedback to cross-functional teams on language-related matters, and execute repetitive tasks with meticulous precision.
- • You will join a global team of researchers, engineers, and designers at Cohere, a company dedicated to scaling intelligence to serve humanity through frontier AI models, where diverse perspectives are valued and innovation is driven by technical excellence and collaboration.
- • In this role, you will develop expertise in AI data annotation, deepen your understanding of how language models learn from feedback, sharpen your analytical and linguistic skills in Portuguese and English, and gain hands-on experience with data formats used in machine learning pipelines, all while contributing to the advancement of safe and accessible AI technology.
🎯 Requirements
- • Native or near-native proficiency in Portuguese with excellent command over English
- • Expert reading and writing skills in Portuguese, demonstrated through a written test
- • Basic familiarity with JSON/TSV/CSV/Markdown data manipulation
- • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- • High tolerance for repetitive and monotonous work
- • Ability to follow complex instructions, navigate ambiguity, and work independently
