- • Lead and scale a 20-person data production team based in Cebu, ensuring operational excellence in the creation of Dedale’s flagship intelligence products including deep company profiles, financials, ownership structures, deal analytics, and proprietary benchmarks for B2B software and tech-enabled services companies.
- • Own the quality, accuracy, and scalability of all intelligence datasets, serving as the final quality gate for deliverables to PE, M&A, and corporate strategy clients, with strict oversight of completeness, freshness, accuracy, and classification quality.
- • Design, evolve, and standardize research methodologies, interview frameworks, taxonomies, and intelligence structures across complex B2B software domains to ensure consistent, high-fidelity outputs.
- • Transform unstructured data from expert interviews, web sources, LinkedIn, public filings, and formal desk research into structured, queryable datasets that power client decision-making.
- • Define and drive sourcing, validation, enrichment, and signal-generation priorities aligned with real-world client use cases in deal sourcing, due diligence, and strategic planning.
- • Implement and optimize scalable operational workflows, including SOPs, quality rubrics, and AI-augmented rituals that increase throughput without compromising analytical rigor.
- • Own and monitor key operational KPIs including dataset freshness, SLA adherence, throughput, audit quality, and customer-reported issue resolution rates.
- • Lead the integration of AI/LLM tools across data extraction, classification, summarization, and quality review processes, maintaining clear boundaries on reliability and human oversight.
- • Partner closely with the Data Engineering Lead in Paris to co-own the broader Data function, aligning operational workflows with technical infrastructure, tooling, and long-term data strategy.
- • Collaborate with Product, Research, Commercial, and Engineering teams to prioritize roadmap initiatives, inform hiring needs, and translate client feedback into actionable improvements.
- • Maintain direct accountability for team performance management, capacity planning, and operational cadence within the APAC-based data operations unit.
- • Act as a hands-on content leader: regularly review datasets, challenge assumptions, identify systemic errors, and redesign frameworks to elevate the precision and depth of intelligence outputs.
- • Maintain alignment with global teams across Manila–Paris time zones, ensuring seamless coordination and communication despite geographic and cultural distances.
- • Contribute to the definition of what “excellence in Data & Intelligence” means at Dedale, setting benchmarks that elevate the firm’s reputation as the leading source of strategic intelligence in the technology space.
- • Prepare for and support the transition to a VP Data Operations role through demonstrated success in scaling operations, driving quality, and influencing cross-functional strategy.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years in research, intelligence, knowledge management, consulting, or content-driven data roles with at least 2 years leading a team
- • Ownership of a structured intelligence product or dataset that customers paid for, shipped to client standards
- • Proven editorial judgment: ability to identify errors in large datasets and articulate root causes with precision
- • Experience designing taxonomies, ontologies, or research frameworks for complex domains like B2B software
- • Demonstrated track record scaling team operations: SOPs, quality controls, throughput KPIs, capacity planning
- • Comfort working in technical conversations: able to collaborate with engineers, weigh trade-offs, and influence tool development without writing code
