- • As a Data Ops Lead at Neon Money Talks, you will own the end-to-end journey of turning raw consumer audio streams into production-ready training data for leading AI labs, directly impacting the company’s core product and revenue stream.
- • You will structure and manage data deals with external partners, ensure datasets meet the highest quality standards to retain buyers, and oversee human transcription, annotation, and QA operations — largely overseas — to maintain pipeline reliability and scalability.
- • You’ll work closely with the CEO on commercial priorities, translate buyer-side specifications into actionable dataset plans, and coordinate between internal engineering and external vendors to align delivery with sold commitments.
- • This is a foundational role where the datasets and operational processes you build become the product Neon sells, giving you direct influence over the company’s growth and market position in the AI training data space.
🎯 Requirements
- • Authorization to work in the US.
- • 5+ years of experience building and scaling data pipelines for AI/ML applications, with significant focus on audio, speech, or multimodal data.
- • Proven track record of structuring and delivering against data or dataset agreements with external partners, from requirements gathering to end-to-end delivery.
- • Experience building and managing overseas or outsourced teams for data tagging, annotation, and QA, with demonstrated success in maintaining quality and throughput across time zones.
- • Deep ownership of data quality: designing QA processes, defining acceptance criteria, and proactively identifying issues before customer delivery.
- • Technical fluency in digital audio fundamentals (sample rates, VAD, multichannel formats) and pipeline architecture, enabling credible collaboration with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
- • Founder’s mentality: comfort building from zero, making high-stakes decisions with incomplete information, and driving initiative without waiting for direction.
