- • Database Specialist supporting Commercial Operations division at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, providing programming services to measure, analyze, and report on underwriting performance efficiency to achieve organizational financial objectives.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing underwriting operations, creating and modifying programs to meet financial and operational objectives, assisting in validating and testing underwriting/quoting solutions, translating business requirements into technical specifications, and conducting presentations to train end users on developed systems.
- • Part of a collaborative team within a major healthcare insurance organization focused on data-driven decision making, where attention to detail and clear communication are essential for producing reliable reports that support underwriting performance.
- • Opportunity to deepen expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, VBA, and C# while gaining experience in insurance/finance domain concepts such as rating formulas and underwriting systems, with potential to grow into more advanced data analysis or development roles.
