📋 Description
- • As a Databricks Platform Administrator at SunnyData Inc., you will manage and optimize the Databricks environment to ensure a reliable, secure, and well-governed platform for analytics, ML, and production workloads, directly enabling customers to leverage scalable data architectures and advanced AI applications.
- • Day to day, you will own Databricks administration and operations, including cluster policies, permissions, Unity Catalog, Jobs/Workflows, and networking; support data and ML workflows; implement security and compliance practices; and collaborate with data, ML, and DevOps teams to drive automation and platform improvements.
- • SunnyData is a leading Databricks technology partner focused on delivering scalable data engineering pipelines, robust data consumption layers, and advanced ML/AI solutions, working closely with clients to solve complex data challenges.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Databricks administration, data governance, cloud infrastructure integration, and AI/ML platform support, while gaining experience in regulated industries and contributing to the scalability and reliability of enterprise data platforms.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience administering or engineering on Databricks, or in a closely related data platform role
- • Strong working knowledge of Databricks workspace administration - cluster policies, permissions, Unity Catalog, Jobs/Workflows, and networking
- • Familiarity with AWS services that underpin Databricks deployments (S3, IAM, VPC, EC2)
- • Experience with data pipeline and orchestration tools such as dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, or Delta Live Tables
- • Proficiency in Python and SQL. Familiarity with Spark is expected
- • Understanding of modern data governance and access control patterns - Unity Catalog, RBAC, data classification
