📋 Description

• • Serve as a key thought partner to the Chief Operations Officer and senior operations leadership, synthesizing insights from restaurant partners, delivery providers, and customer support into actionable recommendations that influence executive decision-making.
• • Own the strategic direction and roadmap for operations analytics, setting priorities, building team capability, and creating scalable structures to support company growth.
• • Lead and develop a team of 7 analysts and data scientists, fostering a culture of rigor, curiosity, and continuous improvement through talent development and performance management.
• • Build a data-driven operations culture by shifting the organization from aggregate metrics to nuanced segmentation that identifies true drivers of performance and surfaces hidden signals in operational data.
• • Champion a test-and-learn mindset across Operations by normalizing experimentation, establishing psychological safety for iterative failure, and embedding analytical infrastructure to measure the impact of every initiative.
• • Own the data foundation for operations analytics, building reporting-ready models in Snowflake via dbt, establishing standardized KPI cadences, and creating dashboards that provide a single source of truth for operational performance.
• • Partner closely with Data Tech, Growth, Technology, Product, and Finance teams to align on data infrastructure, tooling investments, instrumentation, data quality, and shared definitions of operational performance.
• • Stay current on industry trends in restaurant operations, delivery logistics, and partner economics, integrating external benchmarks and emerging methodologies into ezCater’s performance measurement and improvement frameworks.
• • Translate complex technical findings into clear, strategic recommendations for executives and cross-functional leaders, enabling data-informed decisions at the highest levels of the organization.
• • Ensure deep fluency across the analytics stack, leveraging statistical modeling, causal inference, machine learning, BI tools (Tableau, Sigma, or equivalent), SQL, and Python or R to deliver high-impact insights.
• • Apply advanced analytical techniques including cohort analysis, partner segmentation, and time series analysis to understand how operational performance evolves over time and where impact is concentrated.
• • Drive the implementation of A/B and switchback testing methodologies to isolate causal effects in high-volume, multi-sided marketplace environments.
• • Maintain expertise in semantic data modeling, data cataloging, and operational data product definition to ensure scalable, maintainable, and trustworthy analytics outputs.
• • Travel up to 5 days per quarter for Together Weeks, team gatherings, and other company events when applicable.
