- • The Director of Mainframe Systems Programming at Ensono is a mission-focused leadership role responsible for delivering client outcomes by overseeing delivery projects related to hardware and software lifecycle management, including z/OS and ISV upgrades across multiple clients.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include providing strategic direction to mainframe teams, leading AI and automation initiatives (such as z/OSMF, Ansible for z/OS, and Python), managing subsystem upgrades (CICS, MQ, DB2, IMS), driving innovation in service models, influencing stakeholders, and ensuring audit readiness through metrics and governance.

- • In this role, the individual will develop leadership and strategic impact by mentoring teams, shaping new opportunities with sales and solutioning, driving performance against KPIs, and advancing automation and AI adoption to improve scalability, efficiency, and service quality while building a highly engaged organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- • Proven experience managing large-scale mainframe teams, particularly in software currency and patch management environments
- • Strong expertise in z/OS, ISV and subsystem upgrades (CICS, MQ, DB2, IMS) via traditional and modern approaches
- • Ability to manage up, down, and across organizations, clients, and functions with strong communication skills
- • Experience leading complex projects and programs, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
