- • As an Engineer 3 in Engineering Operations at Comcast Corporation, you will serve as a critical individual contributor responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of engineering systems that support media and technology services for millions of customers. This role is pivotal in maintaining operational excellence by troubleshooting complex issues, driving incident resolution, and enabling seamless product and service delivery across a dynamic, multi-product environment.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading technical bridge calls to resolve escalated issues, analyzing operational data and metrics to identify trends and root causes, providing expert guidance on defects and enhancements to vendors and internal teams, and ensuring all maintenance activities are rigorously validated to minimize subscriber impact. You will act as a technical advocate for Engineering Operations policies, ensuring projects are fully integrated into production environments with proper lifecycle management from CARE through engineering.
- • You will contribute to design discussions for new products and architectural changes, assist in building application infrastructure, and lead efforts to standardize processes, automate workflows, and instrument systems for better observability. Your work spans multiple engineering disciplines, requiring you to synthesize knowledge across configuration, data flow, and system state within highly complex provisioning environments.
- • As a senior individual contributor, you will provide technical leadership to junior engineers and project teams, mentor through knowledge sharing, and exercise independent judgment in high-stakes situations. While you do not have direct supervisory authority, your influence shapes team outcomes through expertise, initiative, and consistent execution of operational excellence.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- • 5–7 years of progressive experience in engineering operations, network operations, systems administration, or technical support within telecommunications, media, or technology environments
- • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-system technical issues, lead incident resolution bridges, and drive root cause analysis using data and metrics
- • Experience with operational monitoring tools, ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow), scripting (e.g., Python, Bash), and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines or infrastructure-as-code concepts
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with vendors, peer operations teams, and cross-functional engineering groups
