- • Own delivery, engineering quality, and operating cadence by establishing sprint rituals, release processes, and incident response frameworks that scale with the organization.
- • Scale the team through strategic hiring, effective onboarding, and ramping of engineers while developing talent via coaching, feedback, and individualized growth plans.
- • Partner with Product, ML, and executive leadership to shape technical strategy and roadmap for AI-powered financial systems requiring long-context reasoning and strict compliance.
- • Thrive in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment where you will wear multiple hats, get into the code when needed, and translate technical complexity for stakeholders.
- • Join a mission-driven applied AI startup tackling a $100B/year problem in banking with live, revenue-generating AI agents already in production.
- • Work alongside experienced founders and engineers in San Francisco, Montreal, and Toronto to define the future of work in regulated financial services.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years managing engineering teams in a product-focused environment.
- • Strong technical ability to evaluate architecture, guide trade-offs, and contribute to code when necessary, particularly in AI/ML systems.
- • Fluency in AI/ML concepts including LLM behavior, eval frameworks, and prompt engineering to guide how AI is built into products.
- • Proven track record of developing team members through coaching, feedback, and growth planning.
- • Experience building teams or processes from scratch in early-stage, ambiguous environments with high autonomy.
- • Clear communicator who can translate technical complexity for stakeholders and business context for engineers.
