Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • As an Engineering Manager for the Core Product Engine (Backend) at Jerry Technologies Inc., you will lead the evolution of the company’s critical automation systems that orchestrate end-to-end insurance policy purchases, a high-stakes, complex process involving asynchronous state management and real-time reliability due to the lack of modern external APIs.
  • Day to day, you will spend 80% of your time in hands-on technical work, including refactoring legacy automation systems into a decoupled, scalable architecture, designing new standards, pairing with engineers, and leading incremental improvements to ensure predictability and testability, while also guiding the team toward an AI-first approach for future internal tools to scale from 5M to 50M users.
  • You will join a small, high-caliber team of ex-founders and builders who move fast, own outcomes, and thrive on solving difficult problems, reporting directly to the co-founder/CTO in a flat, agile environment where ideas can be pitched, built, and shipped in days.
  • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in complex business logic across diverse insurance providers, master asynchronous system design at scale, and grow as a technical leader who combines hands-on engineering with strategic architecture and people leadership, all while leveraging Jerry.ai’s vast consumer data (5M+ customers) to inform technical and product decisions.
