- • Enterprise Architect responsible for designing and optimizing secure, scalable platforms using C#, modern systems architecture, design patterns, and engineering principles to support Zip’s mission of delivering cloud-native software serving millions of customers and processing billions in payments.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading architectural design and execution, defining technical strategy aligned with TOGAF principles, establishing engineering best practices, architecting cloud-native solutions with security-first principles, enhancing observability through monitoring and alerting systems, mentoring engineering teams, documenting institutional knowledge, and evangelizing AI and agentic AI adoption across the enterprise.
- • Part of Zip’s Engineering team within the Enterprise Architecture group, operating in a remote-first environment for US-based employees with optional in-person work at the Manhattan office, fostering innovation, security, and operational excellence in a dynamic, test-driven development environment.
- • Opportunity to influence strategic decisions, lead complex projects, mentor engineers, drive AI adoption, and gain deep expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud-native systems, and fintech-scale platforms while contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing and technical leadership.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering; graduate degree preferred
- • 10+ years of experience in complex software engineering environments with mastery of C#/.Net and proven ability to lead large-scale cloud-native projects focused on performance, scalability, and reliability
- • Demonstrated technical leadership, mentorship experience, and cross-functional collaboration skills to guide teams, influence stakeholders, and foster a collaborative engineering culture
