📋 Description
- • As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Runlayer, you will own the technical side of customer go-to-market, running proof-of-concepts, troubleshooting integrations, and working closely with customers to get them live on the platform.
- • You will run pre-sales technical deep dives, demos, and architecture discussions, build custom solutions for enterprise clients, and serve as the technical expert during sales cycles, handling complex questions from senior engineers.
- • You will join a team of 25 engineers at a well-funded AI infrastructure startup that has raised $11M from Khosla Ventures and Felicis, with customers including Gusto, Instacart, and Opendoor, and is building the platform enterprises need to securely adopt AI agents and MCP technology.
- • You will have ownership of customer outcomes from initial technical engagement through successful deployment, gaining direct impact on revenue, deep expertise in enterprise AI infrastructure, and experience working alongside founders and senior engineers at the intersection of sales and deep technical work.
🎯 Requirements
- • ~4+ years experience with a CS degree from a strong program
- • Background in consulting, solutions engineering, or pre-sales with real technical depth
- • Ability to establish credibility with senior engineers and security teams
- • Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to navigate technical conversations in uncertain contexts
- • Interest in combining technical depth with customer-facing responsibilities
