- • As Engineer #4 on Clera’s founding team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI-powered recruiting by building and scaling agentic systems that automate headhunting workflows for top-tier startups, directly impacting how thousands of talents discover their dream jobs each week.
- • You will work in a high-velocity, founder-led environment where your technical decisions influence product direction daily, with ownership over full-stack features from concept to production deployment in a mission-driven startup disrupting a $600B industry.
- • Day to day, you will design, implement, and ship production-ready features using TypeScript and React, integrating LLM APIs and AI agent frameworks to enhance candidate matching, outreach automation, and workflow orchestration.
- • You will collaborate closely with the CTO and founding engineers in Clera’s San Francisco hackerhouse, engaging in rapid iteration cycles, pair programming, and real-time feedback loops enabled by co-located, zero-commute collaboration.
- • You will take end-to-end ownership of product areas, including debugging, monitoring, and optimizing systems built with Supabase, Prisma, Typesense, and Trigger.dev, ensuring reliability and scalability as user traction grows.
- • You will engage with early customers (including VC-backed startups like Mintlify, Luminai, and Windsurf) to gather feedback, validate assumptions, and iterate on AI agent behaviors based on real-world usage and outcomes.
- • You will contribute to a culture of high agency and resourcefulness, where writing code fast and discarding prototypes when needed is balanced with knowing when to invest in quality, testing, and long-term maintainability.
- • You will help evolve Clera’s AI-first recruiting platform from a working prototype with paying customers into a scalable system capable of handling 10-100× growth, directly influencing architecture and technical strategy.
- • You will be part of a tight-knit, ambitious team of A-players living and building together in the SF hackerhouse, where intense collaboration, shared mission, and rapid learning create an unmatched environment for professional growth and impact.
- • In this role, you will gain deep expertise in applied AI engineering, LLM integration, and agentic system design while building tangible product value in a real-world, revenue-generating startup.

🎯 Requirements
- • Very strong software engineering background with proven experience in TypeScript and React
