📋 Description

• Own end-to-end forecasting and planning processes across Pivotal Health, building and evolving financial models that drive strategic decision-making and operational clarity.
• Analyze budget versus actuals to identify performance drivers, translate complex financial data into clear narratives, and deliver actionable recommendations to executive leadership.
• Partner directly with cross-functional leaders in BizOps, RevOps, People, and R&D to embed financial visibility into day-to-day operations and long-term planning cycles.
• Prepare and present investor-grade financial reports and executive summaries that accurately reflect business performance, growth trends, and capital allocation priorities.
• Design and implement structured, scalable FP&A systems to replace ad-hoc processes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and repeatability as the company scales.
• Lead the evaluation, selection, and rollout of new FP&A tooling to establish a single source of truth for real-time financial reporting and analysis.
• Operate with deep attention to detail in financial data while maintaining a strategic lens to connect metrics to broader business outcomes and market dynamics.
• Drive financial planning cycles including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and rolling 12-month outlooks, ensuring alignment with company goals and investor expectations.
• Serve as the primary financial liaison for leadership, translating operational metrics into financial impact and guiding resource allocation decisions.
• Identify gaps in current financial processes and proactively propose solutions to improve efficiency, transparency, and decision-making across the organization.
• Support the professionalization of the finance function during a critical growth phase, helping to establish best practices in planning, reporting, and analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand cost structures, unit economics, and revenue drivers tied to platform features and AI-driven workflows.
• Maintain rigorous data integrity across financial systems, ensuring all models and reports are auditable, transparent, and aligned with company standards.
• Communicate financial insights in accessible terms to non-finance stakeholders, enabling data-informed decisions across all departments.
• Contribute to capital planning and cash flow forecasting to support sustainable growth and potential fundraising initiatives.
• Act as a strategic advisor to leadership by providing financial context for product roadmap decisions, hiring plans, and operational investments.
• Continuously refine forecasting methodologies based on feedback, new data inputs, and evolving business priorities.
• Ensure all financial reporting adheres to internal controls and complies with regulatory and governance standards applicable to high-growth private companies.

🎯 Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or similar roles
• Strong financial modeling and forecasting experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience working in a high-growth or VC-backed environment
• Comfortable working with imperfect or incomplete data
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate data into insights
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with business stakeholders
• High ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently
