- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature development, refactoring, and migration within production-ready codebases
- • Write clear, detailed natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding challenges for peer evaluation
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specifications
- • Identify edge cases, ambiguities, potential failure modes, and subtle bugs in submitted code and specifications
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference implementations, and expected outputs to maintain high-fidelity engineering scenarios
- • Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases across multiple languages including Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and optionally Java, C#, or Go
- • Contribute to the creation of production-realistic software engineering tasks that simulate real-world development challenges
- • Participate in structured code review processes to evaluate the quality, maintainability, and accuracy of peer submissions
- • Deliver robust validation artifacts including test coverage reports, error case analyses, and behavioral correctness assessments
- • Work independently on a project-based, part-time consultant schedule with full autonomy over time management and workflow
- • Maintain professional written proficiency in English while collaborating with global engineering teams and reviewing submissions from diverse contributors
- • Operate remotely with no mandated hours, allowing flexibility to balance this engagement with other professional commitments
- • Use personal tools and infrastructure to complete assignments, with no company-provided equipment or software mandated
- • Adhere to project deadlines while ensuring all deliverables meet high standards of technical accuracy and pedagogical value
- • Contribute to evolving evaluation standards by identifying gaps in task design and suggesting improvements to task realism and difficulty
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
