  • Deliveroo is seeking a highly strategic, commercially astute, and execution-oriented Global Head of Marketing for its burgeoning Retail (Shopping) division. This pivotal role, based at our London HQ, is designed to spearhead the next significant growth phase for our Shopping business. Reporting directly to the Global New Verticals Marketing Director, you will be the driving force behind the global marketing strategy for Retail (Shopping), with comprehensive ownership of budgets, category positioning, partner acquisition and growth, campaign excellence, and the dissemination of best practices across all markets.
  • You will operate at the critical nexus of Commercial, Growth, Product, Operations, and local market teams. Your mandate will be to ensure the successful scaling of our most effective marketing frameworks while simultaneously driving tangible and measurable commercial outcomes. This role demands a leader who can balance visionary strategy with meticulous execution, ensuring that our marketing efforts directly contribute to Deliveroo's ambitious growth objectives.
  • **GLOBAL STRATEGY & BUDGET OWNERSHIP:**
  • Define, articulate, and lead the overarching global marketing strategy specifically for Deliveroo's Retail (Shopping) vertical, ensuring complete alignment with aggressive growth targets and company objectives.
  • Take full ownership and responsibility for the global Retail marketing budgets, implementing a disciplined approach to investment that prioritizes Return on Investment (ROI) and demonstrable commercial impact.
  • Develop comprehensive annual and quarterly campaign roadmaps that span across all relevant markets, strategically leveraging seasonal peaks, key trading events, and consumer moments to maximize impact.
  • Establish robust Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and sophisticated measurement frameworks. Lead rigorous post-campaign analysis, distilling complex data into actionable insights that are effectively communicated and integrated across the entire business.
  • Cultivate a balanced approach between brand-building initiatives and performance marketing tactics to foster sustainable growth in customer acquisition, retention, and purchase frequency.
  • **DEVELOP CATEGORY STRATEGY FOR SHOPPING:**
  • Architect and implement a distinctive, data-driven category strategy that clearly defines Deliveroo's unique position and value proposition within the Shopping landscape.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify priority retail verticals, defining clear positioning statements and compelling value propositions for each.
  • Translate deep customer insights and emerging market trends into scalable, actionable category growth plans that resonate with target audiences.
  • Ensure global strategic coherence and alignment while empowering local markets with the flexibility needed for effective, context-specific execution.
  • **OWN RETAIL PARTNER LAUNCH & GROWTH STRATEGY:**
  • Provide critical marketing support to Commercial teams, focusing on the successful onboarding and accelerated growth of high-priority retail partners.
  • Develop and refine scalable go-to-market frameworks and comprehensive partner launch playbooks that can be readily adopted across different markets and partner types.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative marketing relationships with key retail partners, executing joint campaigns and offers that are strategically aligned and highly compelling.
  • Drive the development and execution of co-funded media strategies and integrated marketing plans designed to unlock incremental growth and mutual benefit.
  • **GLOBAL BEST PRACTICE & MARKET ENABLEMENT:**
  • Collaborate closely with local market teams, including key regions like the UAE and France, to define, implement, and embed world-class Retail marketing practices.
  • Establish structured knowledge-sharing frameworks and platforms to effectively scale successful campaigns, proven playbooks, and innovative promotional strategies across the global organization.
  • Identify repeatable growth levers and ensure the consistent application of measurement standards and reporting methodologies across all markets.
  • Serve as the recognized global center of excellence for all aspects of Retail marketing, providing guidance, support, and strategic direction.
  • **LEADERSHIP & TEAM DEVELOPMENT:**
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-impact marketing team, starting with one dedicated marketeer, fostering their growth and maximizing their contribution.
  • Set ambitious, clear objectives and establish robust accountability frameworks to drive performance and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
