  • • Join Valon, a rapidly growing FinTech company revolutionizing the mortgage industry through a technology-first approach. We are transforming both mortgage servicing and consumer direct lending by building modern, AI-native operating systems that bring unparalleled transparency, efficiency, and care to homeowners, lenders, and investors. Backed by industry leaders like Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and managing over $130 billion in loans, Valon is not just keeping pace with the industry; we are setting the standard for automation, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • • As a GNMA Investor Reporting Analyst, you will play a critical role within our dynamic Investor Reporting team. This team is at the forefront of ensuring accurate and timely data and fund movements to agency and non-agency investors. You will be instrumental in leveraging Valon's proprietary servicing system to drive automation and efficiency, contributing to a modernized Investor Reporting system while upholding the highest standards of precision to meet stringent investor requirements and guidelines.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to support the day-to-day operations of the Investor Reporting team, with a specific focus on daily and monthly reporting and remitting to Ginnie Mae (GNMA). This involves meticulous data analysis, reconciliation, and adherence to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • • Beyond routine operations, you will collaborate closely with management and various cross-functional stakeholders. This collaborative effort is key to scaling our existing processes, developing new reporting mechanisms, and proactively identifying opportunities for enhancement and innovation within the Investor Reporting function.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, an exceptional eye for detail, and a proven ability to consistently meet deadlines. You are someone who thrives on process improvement, seeks out inefficiencies, and is eager to make a tangible impact on an industry-leading FinTech company by contributing to the automation of the servicing industry.
  • • Key responsibilities include:
  • • Completing all daily and monthly reporting for investors within established SLA timelines, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • • Performing thorough reconciliation of data between Valon's servicing platform and investor expectations, including identifying and resolving daily rejects or edits.
  • • Conducting root cause analysis for any discrepancies and implementing effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • • Reviewing and executing fund remittances to investors and clients accurately and within defined SLAs.
  • • Assisting in the accurate and timely completion of client billing processes each month.
  • • Executing and troubleshooting daily operational tasks within the Investor Reporting function, ensuring smooth workflow and minimal disruption.
  • • Collaborating effectively with other servicing departments to build and improve cross-departmental tasks and workflows, fostering a cohesive operational environment.
  • • Supporting internal and external audits by promptly providing required documentation and conducting necessary research.
  • • Providing constructive feedback on existing processes and suggesting improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • • Partnering with Product Managers and the Engineering team to facilitate the successful implementation of new products or enhancements to existing systems and processes.
  • • Analyzing upcoming changes from Government-Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs) such as Ginnie Mae, assessing their impact on Valon's systems and operational processes, and ensuring timely adaptation.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment where your contributions directly influence the future of mortgage servicing and lending. You will be part of a team that values collaboration, precision, and the relentless pursuit of operational excellence. If you are passionate about FinTech, driven by data, and eager to shape the future of regulated finance, this is the role for you.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum 2 years of direct experience in GNMA investor reporting.
  • • Proven experience in performing daily and monthly reporting and remitting to investors, with a strong understanding of investor guidelines and requirements.
  • • Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets, with proficiency in Excel for financial modeling, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive salary and 401(k) plan to support your financial future.
  • • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits to invest in your physical and mental well-being.
  • • Generous paid time off (17 days) and sick days, plus 11 company holidays for work-life balance.
  • • Fully paid 12 weeks of baby bonding time for both birthing and non-birthing parents.
