đź“‹ Description
- • A systems thinker – you enjoy shaping technical direction and making thoughtful architecture decisions for complex, emerging AI and automation systems.
- • A high-impact problem-solver – you like identifying the most valuable opportunities to automate, then partnering across teams to take solutions from idea to production.
- • A full-stack builder – you’re energized by working across backend services, internal tools, data models, and SaaS integrations to create practical, durable solutions.
- • A quality champion – you care deeply about strong engineering standards, from testing and documentation to observability, incident response, and operational excellence.
- • Anchor architecture decisions for EA's AI/agentic stack: patterns for skills, tools, agent loops, evals, memory, and observability.
- • Pick the highest-leverage problems to automate and run them end-to-end with department partners and EA peers.
- • Ship production-grade Python and TypeScript services, internal UIs, and integrations across our SaaS estate (Okta, Slack, Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, Zendesk, Jira, and others).
- • Design data models in PostgreSQL that make automation, observability, and AI experimentation safe.
- • Contribute to code reviews and propose improvements to testing, documentation and runbook practices.
- • At Greenhouse's request, provide availability during agreed windows for production support activities.
- • 5+ years of production experience as a software engineer.
- • Strong Python and/or TypeScript, with the ability to work fluently across the full stack.
- • Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g., React) to build internal dashboards.
- • Track record of designing and operating SaaS integrations at scale, including OAuth, webhooks, rate limits, idempotency, and retries.
- • Deep PostgreSQL and SQL skills; thoughtful data-modeling judgment.
- • Solid testing practice (pytest, Jest, RSpec, or equivalent) and a real commitment to it.
- • Demonstrated mentorship: patterns you’ve established, engineers you’ve leveled up.
- • Comfortable with Git, CI/CD, Teraform, and at least one production observability stack (Datadog, Rollbar, or similar).
- • At Greenhouse, we live by our mission through using our own product https://www.greenhouse.com/interviewing-at-greenhouse to help us hire the right person for the job, every time. We’re committed to designing and responsibly using AI tools to transform how we work while keeping people at the center. We are a remote-first company and have shared office spaces in New York City and Ireland, and optional co-working spaces that give us flexibility to do our best work anywhere. We take an active role in our growth through a performance review program that’s committed to providing actionable feedback, and a bonus structure that rewards great performance. We believe that bringing together a variety of perspectives makes us a stronger company – and we nurture leaders who create an inclusive culture and invest into employee resource groups that celebrate our differences and life experiences. We’re proud to have built an award-winning culture https://www.greenhouse.com/awards that’s been recognized as Fortune’s Best Places to Work and Inc.’s Best Workplaces multiple years in a row.
- • This is an independent contractor engagement in Argentina. Deel will serve as Contractor of Record and will contract with and pay the independent contractor. The independent contractor will provide services to Greenhouse on a non-exclusive basis, may provide services to other clients, and will be responsible for determining the manner and means of performing the services, subject to the applicable statement of work and agreed deliverables. This engagement is not an employment relationship with Greenhouse. No employment relationship, social benefits, or labor entitlements under Argentine Law 20,744 are created by this engagement.
- • Through this arrangement, Deel is hiring an independent contractor to provide services to the Enterprise Apps team at Greenhouse.
- • EA's charter is to take toil off every other team in the company so they can focus on the work only they can do. In 2026, we're using that charter to build something more ambitious: an AI-native operating layer for Greenhouse, with internal tooling, agents, skills, and automations that any team can build on, deploy to, and run against Greenhouse's data and tools. We're early enough in the work that the team will help shape what the platform actually becomes.
- • You'll partner with leaders across Talent Acquisition, Customer Success, Marketing, Solutions, IT, and Finance to figure out which workflows are worth automating, then design and ship the solutions end-to-end with the rest of the team.
- • This role will support the development and maintenance of the Company’s web-based applications as part of an approximately 12-month engagement. In this role, you will focus on high-quality feature execution and technical reliability across the application stack for the Company
- • This is a collaborative, execution-focused, non-exclusive engagement. Services will include building features, fixing bugs, and ensuring our products remain stable and performant for users.
