Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • Lovable Labs Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Growth Product Marketing Manager to spearhead the SMB customer journey, transforming free users into loyal, paying customers and driving account expansion. This pivotal role acts as the central hub, seamlessly integrating product development, lifecycle marketing, in-product messaging, and sales efforts to ensure a cohesive and effective customer experience that maximizes conversion and revenue growth.
  • This is not a conventional product marketing position. Your focus will be on orchestrating the end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels, developing versatile content that can be deployed across emails, paid advertising, and sales collateral, and cultivating a profound understanding of the unique needs and motivations of SMB users. You will be instrumental in shaping how users discover, adopt, and grow with Lovable.
  • As the single point of accountability for the SMB customer journey, you will ensure a consistent and compelling experience from initial signup through to advanced usage and expansion. This involves meticulously aligning messaging and user experience across all touchpoints – ensuring that what a user encounters within the application directly reinforces and complements the communications they receive via email and discussions with the sales team.
  • A key responsibility will be to proactively identify and address any gaps or friction points within the customer journey. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that streamline the user experience and remove barriers to conversion and retention. Furthermore, you will define and meticulously optimize the pathways for paid-to-paid expansion, encouraging existing customers to upgrade and increase their investment in Lovable's solutions.
  • You will be responsible for creating high-impact content tailored specifically for the SMB audience. This includes developing engaging video scripts, compelling written pieces, persuasive case studies, and high-converting landing pages. Your approach will be to build content as a modular system, creating assets that can be efficiently repurposed across various channels, including lifecycle emails, paid performance campaigns, in-product messaging, and sales enablement materials.
  • Owning the production of customer stories and proof points will be crucial. You will gather and articulate compelling narratives that highlight the value and success SMB customers achieve with Lovable, resonating deeply with potential buyers and reinforcing the product's benefits. While you will partner with creative resources when necessary, you must also be comfortable and capable of producing high-quality work directly.
  • You will own the strategy for email and in-product communication, guiding users from their initial signup through to their expansion phases. This involves building sophisticated trigger-based campaigns that are activated by key usage milestones, feature adoption rates, and clear signals of expansion potential.
  • In close partnership with the product team, you will design upgrade prompts and in-app moments that are perceived as genuinely helpful and value-adding, rather than intrusive or pushy. A continuous process of testing and optimization will be employed to refine messaging for maximum conversion impact.
  • You will become the internal subject matter expert on the SMB user. This entails developing a deep understanding of their primary goals, operational constraints, typical buying processes, and key decision-makers. Through ongoing user research, you will continuously deepen this understanding and translate these insights into actionable guidance for product, sales, and marketing teams.
  • You will play a critical role in defining Product-Qualified Lead (PQL) criteria in collaboration with sales and product teams, ensuring a shared understanding of lead quality and conversion potential.
  • Developing the core narrative that articulates the compelling reasons for users to transition from free to paid tiers, and from self-serve to sales-assisted models, will be a key deliverable. This narrative will form the foundation for sales enablement materials.
  • You will create essential sales assets, including pitch decks, concise one-pagers, effective talk tracks, explanatory videos, and strategies for handling common objections. By partnering closely with the sales team, you will refine this narrative based on real-world feedback and insights gained from customer conversations.
  • Collaboration with product and finance teams will be necessary to evolve the plan structure and pricing tiers as needed, ensuring they align with market demands and customer value. You will develop clear positioning for each pricing tier, grounded in the specific jobs-to-be-done that each tier addresses. Furthermore, you will contribute to experiments focused on optimizing pricing pages, trial structures, and feature gating to enhance conversion and perceived value.

🎯 Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience in product marketing, growth marketing, or lifecycle marketing within a SaaS company.
  • Direct experience with Product-Led Growth (PLG) businesses and a proven track record in managing the free-to-paid conversion funnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to create content hands-on, including writing copy, producing videos, or building campaigns directly, not just briefing others.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work effectively with data dashboards and design experiments to drive insights and optimize performance.
  • Excellent writing skills, with a focus on conversion-oriented copy for emails, landing pages, in-app messages, and sales assets.
  • Experience partnering closely with product teams to influence roadmap decisions and shape the in-app user experience.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across diverse functions, acting as a connective tissue between different teams.
  • Deep curiosity about users, with a natural inclination to investigate who they are and what they need.
  • Bonus: Experience at a company that successfully layered a sales-assisted motion onto an existing PLG foundation.

🏖️ Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity package.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous paid time off and holidays.
  • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
  • A dynamic and collaborative work environment with a talented, high-velocity team.
  • The chance to be part of a generation-defining company at the forefront of software creation.
