- • As Head of Analytics Engineering at Paddle, you will lead a dynamic team to translate complex business requirements into actionable data solutions, playing a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization by aligning analytics solutions with business objectives and technical capabilities.
- • You will define and own the multi-year technical vision and strategy for Analytics Engineering, lead and develop a team of Senior Analytics Engineers, drive best practices in data modelling and governance, and act as a force multiplier by removing structural blockers and scaling delivery capacity.
- • You will serve as the senior Engineering representative for Analytics Engineering with cross-functional leaders in Product, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Data Platform, building trusted relationships with Director and VP-level stakeholders and representing the team in Engineering leadership forums.
- • You will champion a product mindset for data, ensuring the analytics data estate is treated as a first-class product with clear ownership, defined consumers, measurable quality standards, and discoverability via MCP tooling, while establishing data quality standards and owning the prioritisation of the Analytics Engineering roadmap.
- • You will oversee the reliability, scalability, and accuracy of Paddle's analytics data estate (Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran), set architectural direction, maintain high standards of data governance and documentation, and foster a culture of continuous learning through feedback, growth expectations, training resources, and skill gap identification.
🎯 Requirements
- • Significant experience leading teams of senior engineers with a track record of building and scaling high-performing analytics engineering groups.
- • Demonstrated strategic ownership of a technical domain: setting direction, driving alignment, and delivering measurable outcomes at group or department level.
- • Strong product mindset for data: thinking about data assets in terms of consumers, quality, ownership, and discoverability, not just pipelines and models.
- • Exceptional communicator with proven senior stakeholder management skills, including influencing without authority and translating technical context into clear business language.
- • Deep expertise in modern analytics engineering (DBT, Snowflake, Fivetran or equivalent) with ability to provide strong technical oversight.
- • Experience driving alignment on definitions, establishing ownership frameworks, and raising data quality standards at scale.
