📋 Description
- • As Head of Data & Systems at Jane Technologies, you will set the vision for how data is built, governed, and surfaced across the organization, leading the Analytics & Business Intelligence team and the new Director of Business Systems to enable an AI-native future where clean, well-instrumented data powers automation and intelligence.
- • You will define the data architecture vision, drive the multi-year data roadmap, build self-service capabilities, evolve the data operating model from reactive to insight-driven, establish governance standards, lead and develop two organizations, influence executive stakeholders on data investments, and ensure data trustworthiness across Jane.
- • Jane is a founder-led, high-growth SaaS company helping clinics run their businesses and care for patients, with a remote-first culture across Canada, the US, and the UK, deeply invested in AI to improve systems and experiences for customers and teams.
- • You will shape a function that defines how a fast-growing company makes decisions, grow leadership talent, implement scalable data systems, and establish governance frameworks that become the new standard — all while operating as a true thought partner to the business and driving cultural change toward data ownership and trust.
🎯 Requirements
- • 15+ years of professional experience in data, analytics, or data engineering, including 5+ years leading and developing teams (manager of managers strongly preferred), ideally in a B2B SaaS or similarly complex software environment
- • Demonstrated experience setting and executing a multi-year data architecture and governance vision, having led the move from ad-hoc reporting to a governed, modeled, scalable data platform
- • Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience in modern data stack tooling (Snowflake, dbt, BI tooling, data cataloging and observability platforms) and ability to engage in technical depth with senior engineers and architects
- • Exceptional influence and alignment-building skills to sell long-term architectural direction to executives, gain cross-functional buy-in, and lead the organization through unpopular short-term decisions for long-term gain
- • Excellent communication — ability to fluidly move between executive narrative and technical depth, knowing which mode the moment calls for

- • Salary range: $242,250 – $300,000 CAD annually (Canada) or $255,000 – $315,000 USD annually (United States)
