📋 Description
- • As the first Head of Engineering at Leap Technologies, you will establish the engineering function from the ground up, transforming the company’s data advantage into a durable product advantage by building a high-performing team and technical foundation.
- • You will own hiring, team growth, and technical roadmap execution, including building AI-native systems for drug identity resolution, causal savings attribution, and intervention workflows on complex healthcare data.
- • Leap is a fast-growing pioneer in employer specialty pharmacy, partnering with Fortune 500 companies to reduce costs and improve access to life-changing therapies through transparent pricing and data-driven care.
- • You will have the opportunity to define engineering excellence, shape company-leveraging technology, and report directly to the President and co-founder while solving unsolved problems in healthcare with real-world impact.
🎯 Requirements
- • Built and scaled an engineering team from a small founding group into a high-performing organization, including owning hiring and setting technical bars
- • AI-native experience: shipped production AI systems using LLMs and agents, and led teams doing the same
- • Proven track record at organizations known for exceptional engineering, with ability to make sharp architecture decisions while remaining hands-on
- • Experience shipping production systems on messy, real-world data where correctness is critical due to patient and business impact
- • Healthcare, HIPAA, claims, or clinical-data experience (preferred)
- • Early-stage experience as a founder, founding engineer, or first engineering leader (preferred)
