- • The Head of Forward Engineering leads NX1's post-sale technical organization, owning the full customer technical lifecycle from deployment through solution delivery and expansion, and is critical to ensuring customer success and aligning product roadmap with field realities.
- • Day to day, the role involves building, leading, and growing the Forward Engineering organization across four practice areas; owning customer technical success metrics like deployment time-to-value and solution delivery quality; defining delivery methodologies and technical documentation standards; serving as executive technical sponsor for complex enterprise deployments; partnering with Sales on pre-sales strategy; driving the AI solutions practice as a revenue channel; maintaining feedback loops to Engineering; and managing budget, utilization, staffing, and professional services economics.

- • In this role, the person can learn to lead large-scale enterprise technical teams at the intersection of cloud, data, and AI; gain executive-level experience influencing product roadmap and C-suite engagements; master professional services P&L management in a high-growth environment; and develop expertise in scaling customer-facing engineering organizations while contributing to meaningful work that drives strategic client outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years technical experience with 4+ years leading customer-facing engineering teams in enterprise software or data platforms
- • Deep understanding of enterprise data platform architecture including data lakehouses, cloud platforms, and integration patterns
- • Experience navigating enterprise IT organizations: security reviews, architecture boards, procurement, and change management
- • Familiarity with Apache ecosystem (Spark, Trino, Iceberg, Ranger) and Kubernetes-based deployments
- • Strong executive presence and ability to represent NX1 technically at the C-suite level in enterprise customer organizations
- • Experience with professional services or solutions delivery P&L management
