• • Deel, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Information Security Analyst to join our Security Operations (SecOps) team, focusing on safeguarding the company's critical information assets and data. As a technical leader, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our security tools and processes, ensuring robust protection against evolving cyber threats.
• • This role goes beyond routine alert triage, demanding deep-dive incident investigations, proactive threat hunting, and the strategic architecture of our detection capabilities. You will be instrumental in enhancing Deel's overall security posture, defending against both internal and external threats with precision and efficiency.
• • A core responsibility will be to own and lead the incident response process. This involves actively investigating events generated by our security systems, meticulously analyzing observed and reported suspicious activities, and performing digital forensics where applicable to understand the scope and impact of security incidents.
• • You will be tasked with prioritizing security alerts based on their associated risk levels and collaborating effectively with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and appropriate remediation actions are taken.
• • A significant part of your role will involve the administration and optimization of our Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system. This includes managing data ingestion, ensuring efficient log management, and developing and fine-tuning alerts to guarantee the relevancy, accuracy, and overall effectiveness of our detection capabilities.
• • To maintain a high-fidelity alert system and minimize operational overhead, you will focus on tuning detection rules to reduce "noise" and false positives. This ensures that the security team can concentrate on genuine threats.
• • Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to security operations is crucial. You will also build comprehensive incident response playbooks to standardize workflows and drive effective, consistent remediation of security threats.
• • Staying ahead of the curve, you will update detection rules to identify new Indicators of Compromise (IoCs) associated with emerging threat actors. Proactive threat hunting will be a key activity, alongside establishing guardrails to prevent threats before they can materialize.
• • You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive security dashboards. Generating periodic reports to track Security Operations Center (SOC) performance and key risk indicators will be essential for demonstrating the effectiveness of our security measures and identifying areas for improvement.
