📋 Description
- • As an Information Security Engineer at Deel, you will serve as a technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing core security platforms that protect sensitive data across a global, remote-first environment serving over 7,000 employees in 100+ countries. Your work will directly support Deel’s mission to unlock global opportunity by ensuring compliance with international regulatory frameworks and strengthening defense-in-depth capabilities for a rapidly scaling SaaS platform processing $11.2 billion in annual payments.
- • You will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools, optimizing configurations and policies, developing custom threat detection rules, and proactively improving security posture for Mac and Windows endpoints and cloud assets such as virtual machines, while ensuring seamless user experience through troubleshooting and policy tuning.
- • You will configure, manage, and tune security policies across Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions, collaborating with application owners to resolve configuration drift and maintain consistent security controls across a diverse portfolio of SaaS applications including Google Workspace, GitHub, and Jira.
- • You will design, implement, and audit security policies for enterprise browsers (e.g., Island, Chrome Enterprise), enforcing access controls to sensitive web applications, configuring Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and ensuring secure browsing experiences aligned with privacy and regulatory standards.
- • You will manage DLP policies across endpoints, networks, SaaS applications, and cloud assets, directly supporting the "Crawl-Walk-Run" implementation phases to meet varying data sovereignty, privacy (GDPR, CCPA), and national regulatory requirements while enabling secure collaboration.
- • You will lead vulnerability management programs for endpoints and servers, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely patching in accordance with policy, and leveraging SIEM tools to analyze security telemetry and improve threat detection and response capabilities.
- • You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to roll out enterprise security solutions, translating compliance requirements from frameworks such as MITRE, NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and SOC into actionable technical controls, and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and innovation within a globally distributed team of 7,000+ across 100+ countries.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity with proven expertise in EDR, SWG, CASB, ZTNA, and DLP tools and technologies
- • Strong familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and best practices including MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and SOC 2, with ability to map compliance requirements to technical implementations
- • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) to host security tooling and proficiency in using SIEM solutions for querying, analyzing, and acting on security telemetry data
🏖️ Benefits
- • Stock grant opportunities tied to role, employment status, and location, enabling direct ownership in Deel’s mission and growth
- • Flexibility of fully remote work with optional access to WeWork spaces for those seeking hybrid collaboration environments
- • Comprehensive total rewards program including scalable benefits, perks, and incentives designed to support inclusivity and accessibility across global teams
