📋 Description

• • Design detailed interaction models for AI-driven workflows, defining how users initiate, monitor, pause, correct, and complete multi-step tasks with a proactive AI assistant.
• • Define and document interaction states for AI interfaces including idle, thinking, acting, waiting, uncertain, interrupted, failed, and recovered states to ensure intuitive user understanding.
• • Create human-in-the-loop controls that enable users to review AI decisions, override actions, and maintain agency without micromanaging system behavior.
• • Develop interaction patterns for delegation, approval, correction, escalation, reversibility, and recovery in non-deterministic AI environments.
• • Produce detailed interaction specifications, annotated user flows, and interactive prototypes for seamless engineering handoff and implementation.
• • Collaborate with product and machine learning teams to translate system capabilities, constraints, and model behaviors into usable, consistent interaction designs.
• • Conduct user testing sessions to identify points of confusion, distrust, or friction in AI-driven interactions and iteratively refine designs based on findings.
• • Contribute to and expand a reusable library of HCI interaction patterns that standardize best practices across the product suite.
• • Translate complex AI behavior into coherent, user-centered interaction logic that prioritizes clarity, control, and graceful recovery.
• • Focus on micro-level design details including transitions, edge cases, error handling, and feedback mechanisms that shape user trust and experience.
• • Work in a fast-paced, high-talent-density environment requiring independent judgment, structure, and execution without heavy process oversight.
• • Design for systems where AI behavior varies across sessions due to non-deterministic outputs, requiring robust interaction scaffolding.
• • Exercise strong judgment on when to guide users, when to interrupt for confirmation, and when to allow autonomous operation to preserve workflow efficiency.
• • Partner with engineers to ensure interaction designs are implemented precisely as specified, maintaining fidelity from concept to production.
• • Help define new interaction paradigms from the ground up, as there are no existing playbooks for proactive AI interaction design.
• • Maintain a user-centric focus on transparency, feedback, and user control as core HCI principles in every design decision.
• • Participate in design critiques, portfolio reviews, and iterative design sprints to refine and validate interaction patterns with cross-functional stakeholders.
