- • Investment Banking Associate, AI Residency (Part-time) at Aptura Inc. – a unique opportunity to apply your investment banking expertise to improve how frontier AI models reason about corporate finance, bridging human judgment with artificial intelligence.
- • Day to day: You will generate, refine, and evaluate content reflecting senior IB professionals’ thinking across the transaction lifecycle—from origination and pitching to execution and close—directly contributing to a structured research project that enhances AI reasoning in investment banking and capital markets.
- • About the team or company: Aptura is founded by ex-Lazard and Partners Group professionals, headquartered in London and San Francisco, and specializes in bringing real-world finance expertise into AI model training to close the gap between human and artificial intelligence.
- • What the person can learn or achieve in this role: Gain rare, early exposure to how AI labs develop models, deepen your understanding of AI’s application in finance, and shape the future of AI-driven financial analysis while maintaining a flexible, part-time commitment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–7 years of experience in investment banking or capital markets at a bulge bracket or elite boutique
- • Associate, VP, or Director level across M&A, industry coverage, ECM/DCM, leverage finance, or syndicate
- • Deep expertise in at least one of: M&A deal structuring and valuation, equity or debt capital markets execution, sector-specific coverage, or syndicate/book-running
- • Strong financial modeling skills (incl. LBO, 3-statement, DCF) and comfort with complex transaction analysis, fairness opinions, and client-facing materials
- • Ability to articulate investment banking judgment clearly and precisely in writing
